IT’S TIME FOR DEMOCRATS TO REASSESS AS A PARTY
Florida Democratic League Statement
IN THE WAKE of the recent U.S. Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade, the Florida Democratic League (FDL) respectfully proposes that anti-Life Democrats seriously reconsider their now discredited and thoroughly debunked position on the heinous crime of abortion (It is a crime whether legal or not). Why stubbornly double down when history has proven you on the wrong side? How smart or politically practical is that?
If we wish to be a credible and viable political party, we must respect the law of the land or resign ourselves to being the political laughing stock of Florida and the rest of the country. Democrats refusing to accept the U.S. Supreme Court’s long overdue abortion of Roe v. Wade should seriously consider leaving the Democratic Party, thereby improving the party’s chances of victory this November and in the years to come.
We fraternally request individuals opposed to the Supreme Court’s landmark decision on the crime of abortion to accept the Court’s decision or seriously consider leaving the Democratic Party for any of the many anti-Government, insurrectionist groups.
DEMOCRATS: LET’S UNITE AND COME TOGETHER
Staying in the Democratic Party and dragging it down to defeat is tantamount to betrayal. The ignorant superstition that the crime of abortion is somehow a “constitutional right” has been officially debunked and flatly rejected by the nation’s highest court. What an irony, folks! Legalized abortion got aborted. Judicially. Amazing.
Isn’t it time now to come together and unite as a party and humbly accept the undeniable scientific fact that human life begins at conception and that butchering children in their mother’s womb is barbaric, uncivilized behavior? Isn’t it actually called infanticide? Isn’t it also unequivocally against longstanding Democratic values of defending the infirmed, the disabled, the weak, and the vulnerable? And who is weaker and more vulnerable than an innocent, defenseless, unborn child? Who?
Isn’t it time for anti-Life Democrats to stop their seditious rhetoric, end their bitter anger and rage, and cease the senseless violence and hate towards the Supreme Court, towards America’s unborn and their defenders? Shouldn’t those who don’t want a child, not get pregnant? And shouldn’t those that do get pregnant but don’t want the child, responsibly give the child up in adoption? Isn’t this the truly ethical, principled, humane, and Democratic thing to do?
DEMOCRATS: LET’S LIBERATE OUR PARTY FROM EXTREMISM AND HATE
Democrats everywhere ask themselves: How will the Democratic Party ever become Florida’s majority party by abjectly pandering to a fringe, extremist ideological minority? Why are Democratic candidates subjected to the toxic grilling of an ever-more extremist ideological minority just to run for public office? Isn’t it high time to demand an honest answer to this urgent question? Just as when many in our Party supported racial segregation, isn’t it time to turn this tragic page in our Party’s history, unite as a Party, embrace the science, accept the Supreme Court’s decision, and move on to electoral victory?
